Happy Thanksgiving to those celebrating. This year I decided that we were going to celebrate again. It's been a few years since we last celebrated. Since my father is out of the picture, I figured it was a good idea. I made my mom go out and buy all the proper fixings for dinner, she did all the work, and I slept. She went out all last night, came home around 7 am this morning. She was in a bad mood. So I slept.

Woke up around 2 pm, came downstairs and ate with her. It was rather nice. Especially since we don't really eat or spend time together anymore. Then I remembered I don't like Thanksgiving food. I still ate it though. Turkey is gross. Stuffing and mashed potatoes are meh. I like sweet potatoes though. They just didn't come out right though, my mom didn't appreciate me bringing that to her attention. She did something weird with the peas, and I didn't like it. She added onions and mushrooms, and they tasted weird, so I didn't eat them. I think she was insulted.

After we ate, she rushed off to hang out with her friend Mike. Now I'm sitting here. In a little while I'm going to [info]callhomicide's for some horrible movie watching. I think tonight we're going to concur the Saw series. I've never seen that series, though I did sit in the theater with my friends while Saw 4 played. I think it was 4? I don't remember, was too busy not paying attention because I thought it was stupid.

What I'm thankful for today:
(In no particular order)

- My Mom
- My animals: Molly, Luna, Trixie, Emma, Tito, LaToya and Shampoo <3
- Disco NRG Family
- My friends
- Madonna
- Blackberry

Tomorrow we're going to decorate the X'mas tree. I'm very excited for this. I can't remember the last time we had it up. Last night I dug out all the boxes and put the tree together, nothing on it though. Put a few nicknacks and other decorations around. Once everything is all up and pretty, I'll take some pics!

One day while at Catherine's I came across a link for Michael Jackson's Moonwalker. I haven't seen this movie in YEARS. I own the vhs someplace. It made me think back to when I first got the vhs, I think it was for my 2nd birthday? I remember having it on at my 2nd birthday party, and my cousins and I imitating Smooth Criminal. Yes I can remember that early in my life.

I kinda wish they would release this on dvd domestically. With the original cover art.

Often times I love to make incredibly bogus posts on Para Para Stage. Usually it's in a mocking tone. This time one of my posts has made it to Eurobeat-Prime forums. While talking with Jason this evening, he asks "did you see on ebp they thought your koushukai were real upcoming songs?" I immediately rush over to Eurobeat-Prime to see this for myself. Sure enough, there it was.

With the exception of the Veronika song, the other songs are CLEARLY fake. I can see how Gimme Gimme Gimme (A Man After Midnight) could be mistaken. That's why I threw it in. Hahahahahaha!

I haven't slept yet. I'm sure I'll get extremely tired in a little while. Let's see here. Currently I'm at [info]callhomicide's. She's sleeping obviously, Evelyn must have had a doctors appointment because she's not upstairs. So yeah, I'm sitting here.

While laying in bed I like to play on my blackberry. Chat a little, read twitter, tumblr, whatever. Earlier I decided to check out some new apps. I downloaded iheartradio. I was pleasantly surprised to see that it worked fairly well. I usually don't listen to the radio beacause I'm a snob when it comes to my music. It was nice to check out though. I listened to maybe a whole 20 minuets of KTU before swaping out to Pandora. At least Pandora will play all my fav songs. . . or most of them. Yeah, it was pretty gay. Madonna, No Doubt, A-Ha, Jennifer Lopez, Dead or Alive, Pat Benatar and Bananarama.

Also, KTU informed me that Aaron Carter owes 1 Million dollars in back taxes. I kindly @'ed him on twitter to tell him.

Catherine and I are getting back into the swing of things. We started watching movies again. Last night we made great progress.

Children of the Corn 2009
Wrong Turn 3: Left For Dead
Motel Hell
Night of the Comet
Behind The Mast: The Rise Of Leslie Verndon

Children of the Corn was horrible. For about 45 minuets it was nothing but bickering between the "outlanders'. Although, Cody from Dexter was in it. I try to keep an open mind when it comes to sequels and remakes. This remake however was disgusting and I strongly advice people not to waste their time. Wrong Turn 3, it was okay. Motel Hell was amazing. Night of the Comet, omg I wish I lived in the 80's. I think the best movie of the night was Behind The Mast: The Rise Of Leslie Verndon. Funny? Yes! Amazing? Yes!! Well worth it? Absolutely.

Also, I tried to stream media from my powerbook to Catherine's X-Box using Connect 360. Unfortunetly I failed horribly. I asked about it on Yahoo! Answers, no replies yet. I'm hoping SOMEONE will be able to help me out. Any xbox mac users out there care to help?

In other news: I'm fat. I started growing a mustache for Movember. I think it makes my face look huge. I started to document each week on my facebook. I don't think I look good with facial hair at all. I'm determined to let it grow for the entire month though.

[info]taurusbombshell posted on her tumblr this reblog of a cute Helly Kitty Lady Gaga impersonation. I made it my Blackberry background. It's so cute! Goddamn it! I love The Fame Monster.

I think the past 24hrs or so, I've been pretty productive. Which is surprising since when I'm at Catherine's we don't really do too much. I just have a good feeling. I think everything's going to be looking up for me. Today, I feel really good. Even if I am fat.

Halloween was pretty boring. I sat around like usual.

Early yesterday morning, before I went to bed. I was browsing around hulu and saw that the had The Pit and the Pendulum. Vincent Price is absolutely amazing in that film. Of course I had to watch it before I drifted off to sleep. So, I watched that. Went to bed. Woke up. My mom came home, we had dinner. The end.

I think I'm going back to my Otaku Boom for a little while.

It's amazing how fansub distributors have disappeared off the face of the earth.

I swear they show absolute shit on television these days. I remember years ago they used to show some amazing horror films around Halloween, now it's like nothing. What's up with the world?! Disney used to be so good. Their Halloween specials used to be the best. Now, nothing. Even the movie channels are sucking.

I'm taking a short break from my otaku boom to watch some horror films. The past few days I've watched the Night of the Demons trilogy. I remember, when I was a little boy, the vhs covers used to scare the fuck out of me. Demonic Angela looking scary as fuck. Last year [info]callhomicide and I watched the first Night of the Demons. Imo, it's a great 80's horror flick. I finally was able to watch parts two and three. Two was kinda good. Despite being a sequal, it was just pure cheese. A crazy ninja-like nun and Christine Taylor really made it for me. Three, was kinda bad. Figures.

The remake comes out in February 2010. I'm looking forward to that. I'm sure it will be bad, but whatever. I decided at the beginning of this year I would give all the remakes a chance. This years horror remakes haven't been that bad. I enjoyed My Bloody Valentine, Friday The 13th and Last House on the Left. So, we'll see about Night of the Demons.

I was bored one morning at like 5am. I was searching high and low for the film The Sadist, since that's my new nickname. This is how I discovered Archive.org. Apparently, this site hosts direct downloads for a lot of films that are in public domain. So, I was able to download The Sadist, but I've yet to watch it. I will tonight most likely. A lot of my favorite and note worthy films are on here. They even give you an option as to what quality to download. I even saw a link for a high-def bd rip of Night of the Living Dead, which is quite amazing.

Here's some good movies you should all check into. They're all classics. In black and white.

Night of the Living Dead
The Last Man On Earth
House on Haunted Hill
Carnival Of Souls
Dementia 13
White Zombie

The Otaku boom continues! I've been going nuts downloading and watching animu. For YEARS now, I've wanted to see Ranma ½ so bad. In 2001, I had purchased the DoCo Best Song Collection (released by SonMay :P) from my local anime store. Only reason why I had bought it, was obviosly because Megumi Hayashibara sang with them. I had heard a few songs through some girl on FLAVA who had did a DoCo song dub. I thought the songs were catchy, so I gave it a try. I love the songs, but I had NEVER seen the anime. So I've wanted to see it ever since.

Now that I'm having this boom, I figured I'd milk it for everything its worth. I've been watching episodes daily. There's not that many, it's way less than Sailor Moon. All at once it's a bit overwhelming. I think I have it pretty much under control though. So far, I'm liking the series. It's pretty funny. I don't think this will be a series that I will attach myself to, like I have with Sailor Moon and Fushigi Yuugi, but I can appreciate it for what it is. Great animu. As of right now, I'm only two seasons in. So I have five more to go, three movies and OVA. From what I've read, the tv series seems to follow the manga pretty well with very few changes. The manga is long as fuck as well, 38 volumes or something. . . maybe I'll concur that as well one day.

Might I add that I did also try to watch a few minuets of this dubbed, and I was scared to pieces as they say Ranma as "RAN_MA" in a southern accent. Yeah, I will never make that mistake EVER again.

Other than Ranma, I've snagged a few other series as well. I got the last twelve episodes of Utena to finish, Slayers, and I also downloaded the Ah! My Goddess OVA series. Belldandy is such a funny name, I was telling [info]kristychan that when I say it, it makes me think of testicles. Truth. Seriously, they have a fucking call center in heaven or some shit. Telemarketing goddesses.

While chatting with [info]_candy_pop_ she suggested I check a few things out. I should just make a list here, so I can refer back to it.

Animu To Do List

  1. Ah! My Goddess (OVA series)
  2. Akazukin Chacha
  3. Miracle Girls
  4. Revolutionary Girl Utena (Last 13 Episodes)
  5. Slayers (Next, Try, OVA, Films and Evolution/R)

If anyone would like to make some recommendations I'm all ears :)

I already posted about this a bit on my tumblr, but I figured I'd post on livejournal as well. The past few days I've been addicted to watching Cutie Honey The Live. I didn't even know they made a live action series until one day last year I found it randomly on a torrent tracker. I had forgotten about it until the other day. I've been having a big otaku-boom recently. I had the itch to watch Shin Cutey Honey (The OVA), so I went searching high and low throughout the internet for it. Lucky for me I found it, downloaded it all, then I remembered Cutie Honey The Live.

It's very much like Pretty Guardian Sailor Moon. Just, I find it a billion times better. For me, PGSM was lacking. Story, character, a bunch of things. Sure, I like it, but I don't love it. I found it dragged on too long. The whole thing with Venus was sad, but I didn't really care much for the plot. While it did keep the gist of the anime/manga story line, the changes that were made weren't my cup of tea. Also, I thought the ending sucked. Anyway, back to CH.

I just finished this series today. I have yet to watch the omake special but I'll probably do that once I'm done typing this up. I was really surprised with this series. It kept my interest, there were like no filler episodes, I was hooked. While, it was different from any other CH, it kept the base plot, added some colorful characters, the villains were great, and the ending was amazing. I'm very happy in the end, and I kinda wish they'd do another season. That's doubtful since this series is over a year old.

If you're interested, I'm sure you can scope this out on youtube, or you can direct download here like I did!

So today I had orientation at Target. It seems really awesome, very much like ShopRite, but maybe a little more laid back. It reminds me a lot of elementary school. They have tons of parties and love to eat. They even do arts and crafts and have movie day in the break room on Tuesdays. Also, complimentary free all you can eat popcorn. So much for weight loss.

We'll see how it goes as my first real day on register is on Friday. Wow, this could possibly mean that I will have something interesting to post about in my journal. Yay for store politics. For starters, one girl in my orientation already got fired for stealing a magazine. Hardcore.

Before orientation I went to get my hair cut. All of it is gone. I think maybe eight or so inches. Clearly the guy didn't do what I wanted him to do, he fucked it up a bit. Razored the hell out of it. It's shorter than it was at Akon in 2006. I really wanted a change, but not this drastic of a change. I really need to find someone that I like to do my hair. I'm so picky and I rarely ever go to the same person twice. It's always been that way. At least now I won't look like that creepy guy that Maggie and Jason said I looked like. I probably wont post any pics until it grows in a little bit and I can actually figure out what to do with it. He razored it so much that it's all un-even all over.

In a galaxy far, far away I mean, once upon a time a long, long time ago I was a member of this online amateur voice acting community. Essentially what we did in this community was made crack radio plays, audio dramas and fandubs. I had joined this community in the year 2000ish, really more like 2001, but whatever. I made some great life long friends during this time period like Kristy, Maria and Jason. Also some other noteworthy people like Tom Galang, Alex/ChrnoBabe, Troppy, Nikkita, Stephy, Fexy, Matt Cruea, Lucian and so many others whom I run into every now and again. Thinking back to middle and high school I was such an otaku. Aside from meeting some amazing people, I had a few great flops of personal projects. Radio plays and such. A few one shot fandub clips. Most of this stuff was horrible. In case you don't know, a fandub is exactly how it sounds, a dub of something made by fans.

More recently I've been thinking back to this time. We used to have this voice chat program called iParty which was created in the early 90's where most of the people in the community would head in and engage in group chats about the most random of things. A few musical sessions, mostly bullshit talking. It was a great time. I had always wanted to do my own fandub. From the beginning I knew exactly what I wanted to do. My favorite episode of Sailor Stars! At the time, the community was over run with Sailor Moon projects, as the community was basically STARTED by Sailor Moon projects. More specifically Mark Sprague's fandub of Sailor Moon S waaaay back in 1997. Lack of a proper computer capable of handling video and audio mixing, held me back a bit. I tried to once, and failed horribly. I had everything all planned out, a script written, a full cast with lines sent in, background music, sound effects, raw episode everything! Due to my horrible computer at the time I kept crashing.

I had almost given up hope when Maria came through and helped me a great deal. After three hard drive crashes I was just going to give up, but she took the initiative to help out tremendously with mixing. She knew this was something I had wanted to do for years. Hell, I only discussed it with her on the phone every single day. She wanted her Stevie's dream to come true. I can't thank her enough for this. Even after four years since we did it, I still smile every time I watch this dub. Thank you Maria for all your hard work. Gah, now I'm rambling, so onto the good stuff.

In 2007, I got really bored and was going through some old dvd and cdrs. I came across the HQ episode rip, and the "HQ audio". Please take note of the quotes, HQ to us back then really wasn't HQ Lol. I had Final Cut installed, so I decided to play around with it. I made the episode title, see the screen shot above, and some fancy rolling credits. Which really weren't fancy. Whatever. I'm happy with how it turned out.

Now, before you non-ava people watch this, please take note that this was done in 2004/2005. I was sick when I recorded my own lines, lol now that's dedication. We had a few difficulties with casting, and some lines. Like for instance, one small set of lines Lila (the girl who played Usagi) was unable to record at the time, so I had Maria and Nikkita fill in. Though, I must say that [info]topleka, [info]asw and I are amazing as the Starlights. I love the whole cast! Unfortunetly Kristy was being a butthead and wouldn't be Makoto/Jupuiter for me. So I went with second best and Alex was cast. Chell was always my favorite Mercury, and Nikkita plays half the people in the episode XD. Maria does an amazing Minako, especially since she sounds almost exactly like Fukami Rica.

Maria did an amazing job with the adlibs of all the extras, and we got really silly at the end of the episode. It was just too depressing, so we had to make light of it.

Now the episode is a little fuzzy. The source is laser disc, so don't expect amazing quality. Also I compressed it a bit so it wouldn't be too big of a download. I'm such an asshole producer as I had promised the cast a dvd. I should maybe get around to doing that... like soon XD

Chances are some of you have already watched this, since I've been whoring it out to a few people recently. More so [info]jimmathon. So if you watch, please enjoy and comment. I have a feeling it will be funny to read them. When you watch it, think of all the goddamn blood, sweat and tears went into this.

Special thanks to the Maria Vu and the rest of the fabulous cast, the DiscoNRG mediafire account for hosting, Virtual Dub, Cool Edit Pro 2.0, Goldwave, Naoko Takeuchi and my 56k dialup internet connection from back then.

Pee.
Today I went for my drug test. I got to go peepee in a cup.

They had a sign on the wall in the bathroom that said: "If you sprinkle when you tinkle, be a sweety and wipe the seatie."

I was disturbed.

I've been putting off on writing about this. I hate to think about it. It's been about a month and a half since I last saw Tommy. He went out like he normally did and just never came home. Which isn't like him. If he didn't want to come back in, we would at least see him around the yard, laying out on the deck, or sleeping out in the sun. Weeks ago, I came to the conclusion that the only logical explanation is that he's dead. I went around the neighborhood two or three weeks after he'd been missing, and there was no sign of him. Nothing. Not even a dead cat on the road. Anyone who I've told tries to make me feel better by saying perhaps someone took him in, but that is highly doubtful. I think Tommy knew that he would never find someone to treat him as well as he was treated here. That and I doubt that anyone would put up with a cat sitting at the dinner table eating out of his own bowl while they ate.

It just tears me up inside not knowing for sure what happened to him. The thought of him being dead kills me. Knowing that I wont be able to sing and dance around to Talking Hands with him, or even telling him that we'd go on Dancing With The Kitties and that we were gonna win. I want my baby back. I miss him so much.
